The Calamondin belongs to a new group of trees and is a hybrid mix between citrus trees.
Mainly they are a mixture between an orange or mandarin and a kumquat tree.

The fruit can be used for jams, juicing and food seasoning. Skins are a mixture of sweet and sour and the fruit is best eaten whole with skins on.
