EvergreenEvergreen slender, twining but not tendril-climbing herbaceous perennial. it has smooth flexible branches and the leaves are triangular or five pointed ivy like.
Senecio macroglossus, commonly known as Wax Ivy or Natal Ivy, is a trailing succulent plant with glossy green leaves.
Appearance: Senecio macroglossus green has elongated, fleshy leaves that are typically bright green in colour. The leaves are smooth and glossy, giving the plant a lush and attractive appearance. The foliage is similar in shape to ivy leaves, hence the common names.
Growth Habit: Senecio macroglossus green has a trailing or cascading growth habit. It sends out long, trailing stems that can reach several feet in length. The plant can be grown in hanging baskets or trained to climb up a trellis or support.
Lighting Requirements: Senecio macroglossus green thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions but prefers a well-lit spot. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for extended periods, as it can scorch the leaves. Placing the plant near a north-facing or east-facing window can provide suitable lighting.
Temperature and Humidity: This plant prefers average to warm temperatures between 18-24°C. It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but should be protected from drafts and temperature extremes. Senecio macroglossus green adapts well to normal room humidity levels.
Watering: Keep the soil slightly moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch (2.5 cm) of soil feels dry. It is more drought-tolerant than many other succulents, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
Soil and Fertiliser: Use a well-draining potting mix suitable for succulents. A mixture of cactus potting soil, perlite, and coarse sand is commonly used. Fertilise the plant sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser diluted according to the package instructions.
Pruning and Maintenance: Prune to control its size and shape. Trim back any leggy or overgrown stems to promote bushier growth. Regularly remove any yellowed or damaged leaves to maintain the plant’s appearance and overall health.
Senecio macroglossus green is a visually appealing trailing plant with its glossy green foliage and cascading growth habit. With the right care and conditions, it can add a touch of green beauty to your indoor or outdoor space.

Medinilla Magnifica in Wired Coir Basket
Original price was: R650.00.R449.99Current price is: R449.99.Medinilla Magnifica in Wired Coir Basket
Common Name: Rose Grape, Philippine OrchidMedinilla magnifica, commonly known as the Rose Grape or Philippine Orchid, is a striking tropical plant known for its large, showy clusters of pink flowers.
Light Requirements
Bright, Indirect Light: Medinilla magnifica prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves, especially in a wired coir basket where the roots may be more exposed.
Watering
Consistent Moisture: Keep the soil evenly moist, but not waterlogged. The coir basket allows for good drainage, but ensure that the plant doesn’t dry out too quickly.
Humidity: This plant enjoys high humidity. Regular misting or placing the basket on a tray with pebbles and water can help maintain the necessary humidity levels.Soil and Fertilisation
Well-Draining Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix. The soil should retain some moisture but drain well to prevent root rot.
Feeding: Fertilise every two weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.Temperature
Warm Temperatures: Medinilla magnifica thrives in warm temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid exposure to temperatures below 15°C.
Pruning and Maintenance
Deadheading: Remove spent flowers to encourage new blooms and prevent the plant from putting energy into seed production.
Cleaning: Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth occasionally to remove dust and keep the plant looking its best.Support
Support Stems: The wired coir basket provides a good structure, but as the plant grows, you may need to provide additional support to the stems to prevent them from drooping under the weight of the flowers.
Repotting
Repotting Needs: Medinilla magnifica prefers being slightly root-bound. Repot only when necessary, typically every 2-3 years, into a slightly larger basket or pot.

Philodendron “Painted Lady” 20cm Hanging Basket
Original price was: R245.00.R149.99Current price is: R149.99.Philodendron “Painted Lady” 20cm Hanging Basket
Philodendron “Painted Lady” is a cultivar of Philodendron, prized for its striking foliage.
Light
Provide bright, indirect light for your Philodendron “Painted Lady”. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, it may not develop its characteristic colouring without sufficient light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.Watering
Allow the top inch or two of the soil to dry out between watering. Water thoroughly, but ensure that excess water can drain away freely to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.Temperature
Maintain temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C) for your Philodendron “Painted Lady”. Avoid exposing it to cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.Humidity
Philodendrons generally appreciate moderate to high humidity levels. If the air in your home is dry, you can increase humidity by misting the leaves, using a humidifier, or placing the plant on a tray filled with water and pebbles.Soil
Plant your Philodendron “Painted Lady” in well-draining potting soil. A mix formulated for tropical plants or a blend of peat moss, perlite, and coarse sand works well.Fertilisation
Feed your Philodendron “Painted Lady” with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop fertilising in the fall and winter when growth slows down.Pruning
Regularly remove any yellowing or damaged leaves to promote healthy growth. You can also prune to shape the plant or control its size if it becomes too large.Leaf Colouration
The leaves of Philodendron “Painted Lady” typically display a combination of bright shades such as yellow, gold, lime green, and chartreuse. These colours often form patterns or variegation across the surface of the leaves.Variegation
The variegation on the leaves can vary from plant to plant, but it generally consists of patches, streaks, or marbling of lighter and darker colours. The variegation adds visual interest and depth to the foliage.Leaf Shape and Texture
Like many Philodendron varieties, the leaves of “Painted Lady” are typically heart-shaped or ovate. They have a smooth texture and may develop splits or lobes as the plant matures.Growth Habit
Philodendron “Painted Lady” tends to grow in an upright manner, with stems emerging from a central point. It can develop a bushy appearance over time as new leaves emerge from the middle of the plant.Size
The size of the leaves and overall plant can vary depending on environmental conditions and care. Generally, “Painted Lady” remains relatively compact compared to some other Philodendron varieties, making it suitable for smaller indoor spaces.
